[plug] cannot open the audio device

Hi Andrew,
        I am using gnome and esd is running

anville>ps -ef | grep esd |grep -v grep
robd       882   881  0 Oct02 ?        00:00:06 esd

I can play cds,  it is just realpalyer that cant find the audio device. 
But it used to work.
