Don't know if anyone got back to Ben, but what is the Viper II chipset? My
Diamondese is a little rusty...

If it is Nvidia (TNT, TNT2) Ben, you are set. Grab the Linux drivers
straight off their site. (www.nvidia.com)

Or, if it isn't Nvidia, (S3 Savage chipset perhaps?), try the S3 site
instead. When it comes to scoring drivers for a graphic card, particularly
of the 3D accelerated variety, I generally find them at the chipset
manufacturer's site, or using a phrase like - linux Viper II in
yahoo/google. Someone, somewhere has usually posted the drivers, or hacked
something together that works.
