Have you tried this recently? It's very fast and does SSL (HTTPS). I showed it
the HTML page from amidst SlashDot's most recent quickies and it handled it with
extreme grace. It has a novel and unique toolbar button: as well as back and
forward, there is an "up" button which chops an element off the URI of your
current URL (you can click-and-hold for a list of progressively shorter URLs).
You can also split any window Opera-style, but OTOH can only set the start-up
page (not the home-button page). Konqueror is very fast and reasonably
feature-complete including Java and JavaScript.
