Methinks that the "He is a permanent Aussie resident", is an indication
of his migratory status; he can migrate to australia, for the spring,
adf, retun to his place of permanent residence, when the snow is deep
enough (or, is gone enough, so it is not cold?).

Perhaps, his wife Lynn, is an Oz national, and, being married to her,
obtained for him, "permanent residential status?

Or, is the message above, relating to the quantum effects of parallel
dimensions (as implied by the quantum aspect of distributed computing?),
another symptom of the demonic posession, by the entity W G Gruff?
