[plug] Quake server on LAN

Any body know where I can get some info on how to run a Quake Team fortress
server on a LAN for a bit of fun for me and me mates ?

I am pressuming the server will run linux as I think most of the servers I
used to connect to on the net ran linux.

Any suggestions on how or where I could start my research would be of much
help -- are these the types of discussions that might happen @ the monthly
meeting so someone  -- maybe someone could teach me me if they could be
bothered that is :)
