[plug] Question on Linux system security

Red hat creates the following entry in /etc/passwd:


shutdown:x:6:0:shutdown:/sbin:/sbin/shutdown

gnome switches to this group to enable it to access the shutdown
command.  I confess I don't know how insecure this makes the system
reagrding remote rebooting etc but that's how it's done :)
