[plug] slowdown probs

This is a genuine intel Pentium 100 and win32 runs 'em fine (the difference 
between a 486-dx4-100 and Pentium 100 is absolutely 
huge)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, please try to remember that it isn't my machine but my mate's.
