As implied by your "aware of" and elsewhere in your post, there is
also the likelihood that either our ears or other parts of our bodies
respond to "sounds" (vibrations) which are outside our range of
hearing, and that some of the emotive power of music may be
attributable to these non-audible vibrations - which, if it's true,
makes the restriction of recordings to the audible frequency range
rather simplistic.
