Its a Not ACKnowledgement from the keyboard or controller..
I had a similar problem with a portable I use, and had no such luxury as
being able to replace the keyboard. I solved it with a bit of extra supply
decoupling inside the keyboard, and some well chosen capacitors on the 
clock and data lines to round some spiky edges.. Solved it nicely..
