[plug] kernel compile problems - any hints please

Don't try to compile it in the /usr/src directory. I know all of the early
docos tell you to do this, but the headers in that area are broken. Create
a directory 'linux' in another directory (maybe your home directory?),
untar the source into that directory and do the biz from there.
