this might seem a stupid question, but what happens if you try to load 
the site directly with lynx?  Does it work then?  If I use lynx, I get 
the page, no errors.

Perhaps the URL is too long for pine to pass to lynx correctly, or 
possibly there's a line wrap in there that causes problems.
