[plug] shared local debian dists

In my previous reading of man pages and such in debian, I seem to
remember that there was a note somewhere about how to create a local
copy of debian files retrieved via apt-get. I want to be able to use
one machine to do the downloads, upgrade that machine from its own
cache, and upgrade other machines from that cache also. It may have
been as simple as making /var/cache/apt available via nfs, but I seem
to remember that there was more to it. Perhaps a more elegant
solution.

I can't find this again, despite much aproposing, grepping, and even
some 'find . blah | xargs grep blurgh'. Can anyone give me a pointer
to this information?

Thanks
Russell
