Hey again,

I'm out of hospital, and I'm recovering well. We'll see if I set off
metal detectors at the airport now :-) Anyways, I was given a 3D game
as a get well present and my 8mb Diamond Viper 550 AGP card does not
meet the minimum system requirements. I need to buy a new card that
is at least 16mb but that will work well with both linux and windows
(to cover the gap payments, which were worse than originally
anticipated, I'm selling my linux box and making my main computer into
a dual boot system which will hopefully evolve into a Linux with
windows emulation system when I gain more Linux skills). I'm
restricted to the $100 price range (give or take a few dollars) and
I'm hoping you guys can provide some advice on which cards to go with.
I want the card to be able to work with windows and DirectX as well as
with Linux and any future 3D games for Linux (I know I should be
looking at a $400 GeForce, but I really cannot right now).

Thanks in advance,

Ari
