[plug] Getting RedHat to connect to the internet (newbie question)

I had similar problems with rp3 on my net connection.  The solution I was
eventually forced to use was to set up a chat script.

I'd be happy to send you my scripts, which should work ok with minimal
changes, once I get to my home PC and find them.
