No, this isn't the same:
a) This is consistent over a lab of 20 machines, not 1 video card
b) There's no gradual corruption - it seems to remap the entire ascii set.
It's all or nothing
I'll try David's suggestion to reset it (a quick fix is better than having to
restart X), and I do plan to investigate driver upgrades (hopefully to the
point where I can demo decent 3D stuff), but as I said, I'm new to NVidia
stuff, and am used to the easy world of adding a line to my apt sources, even
for bleeding edge stuff. ^_^
