[plug] new linux user withe modem problems

Gday all

My name is Edward Doernberg
I av just installed linux on my computer and need some help with the setup of the modem and Internet connection. My ISP (q-net) gave me all the needed values but Thai cant help beyond that. The problem is that the modem won't initialise. I have tried it withe both Kppp and gnome PPP withe the sane result.

The modem is the Swann NetSlider II. It is a serial 56k modem.
