Hello Plug
This is a dig at the vocal members of this list that appear to relish in
contributing unhelpful comment to questions raised by other users of this
list.
The replies that Jeff received to his list request to unsubscribe were
impolite in particular telling him to follow the instructions on
unsubscribing. I looked on the current web site on the list.phtml page
and it very informatively tells one how to be a part of this list
(sometimes slanging match) BUT the method of unsubscribing is not shown.
When the webmaster placed the current web site for all to see and invited
comment I recall I said then that there is no instructions on now to
separate from the list.
Lets keep in mind what the function of this list is, or in my opinion,
should be as the organisation it represents. It has two primary
functions, a means of disseminating information about PLUG the group and
the members (people) of that group. Secondly, as a way of using the
collective knowledge base of that group to ASSIST other members of the
group and the mail list.
So in closing, will the webmaster please rectify the absence of
unsubscribing information on the web site and the other members of the
mailing list consider what it is they are sending to the list and its
relevancy and helpfulness in answering the question posed.
To Jeff - I unfortunately do not know how to automatically unsubscribe
from the list - my only hope is that some notice is headed from this
posing and the required changes are effected.
