If I may add one book that has helped me. I use perl in both the linux
and windows world, currently working on a windows based email solution
for a customer.
The book is: 'Mastering perl 5' by 'Eric C. Herrmann. ISBN 0-7821-2200-0
The author covers both unix and win32 uses of perl including operating
system stuff, cgi, and on win32 interfacing to the registry and .dll
files.
Another good site for doco is www.activestate.com - the makers of the
perl for windows. - Don't be put off by the inference to windows the
information is universal to all perl 5.
