In response to your last two emails, the reason we are using E-Mail is the
fact that all of our translating is the .pot files which govern things like
buttons on menus and programme statements etc.
I personally never write E-Mail but I would have to agree that it certainly
does look more appropriate for things like buttons, drop-down menus etc. and
as we also effect how the original US .pot files are spelt (we have also
been given the task of sending in errors and UK instead of US spellings) we
have to keep a constant.
The reason that we need a constant is that the majority of translating is
done by teams like the 'Afrikaans' who need it kept at one word so that
their tranlsting jobs can be made easier by pre-written scripts etc.
Thanks for offering to help out in areas like this, I must ask if you wish
to join the team though as we only number three at present and a fourth
member would certainly speed up the process.
