I did both the "depmod -a" and then modprobe tmscsim.
Here are the results.
I am using RedHat 7.1 2.4.2-2 kernel.

[root at localhost pappo]# /sbin/modprobe tmscsim
/lib/modules/2.4.2-2/kernel/drivers/scsi/tmscsim.o: init_module: No such
device
Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including
invalid IO or IRQ parameters
/lib/modules/2.4.2-2/kernel/drivers/scsi/tmscsim.o: insmod
/lib/modules/2.4.2-2/kernel/drivers/scsi/tmscsim.o failed
/lib/modules/2.4.2-2/kernel/drivers/scsi/tmscsim.o: insmod tmscsim failed

Is a kernel re-build the fix now ?
