Ive never had any real problems with any card under linux, from ne1000s to
cheapy pci 10/100s....
My current card (a generic pci 10/100) cost me all of $25 :)

Most Netgear cards use the tulip chipset and I use a FA310x here at work
and it works a treat. I suggest this and I believe you can get them from
www.everythinglinux.com.au and www.simline.com.au which is in Perth and
hosted at Indigo *grin*
