Sounds like you're trying to do exactly what i'm trying to do - only i haven't
a clue where to start. . .

i've put a Promise Ultra66 into my old 75 Meg P1 box which already has 2
ordinary EIDE's. Am running RH 6.2 with Kernel version 2.2.14-5.0

I downloaded this same ide patch this morning, but don't know really weather
it's the right one for the job. Don't really want ot kill my machine.

I'd love some well informed direction.
