[plug] re opening linuxconf

I tried as a regular user and got permission denied. Went back as root and
changed permissions on the file and it now works normally from xterm but
wont load from Gnome.. but getting closer to a resolution thank you..

It may be that linuxconf isn't in your path when you're logged on as root.
Have you set up a non-root user (such as 'greg')?

Regardless, from a command line type
which linuxconf

this will show the command and its location if that location is in your
path.
I'm running RH 7.0, and for me it's in /sbin.  type
echo $PATH
to check what directories are in your path.

Assuming that your dist and mine have it in the same place, try typing
/sbin/linuxconf
from the command line.

Sorry if the above seems confusing, if none of this works, post back error
messages, etc.  We'll get there eventually.
