[plug] Modem disconnects

Robert,

Could be a lost carrier, could be user request, I'm not totally sure on 
that one.
What program are you using to dial ppp? minicom? kppp? something else?
Did you email the support team at Emerge internet and get them to send 
you your connection logs?

Im trying to work out why my modem randomly disconnect from my isp
I need to know if the fault is at my end or there's
when the modem disconnects  I get
May 13 04:52:32 linux pppd[9070]: Hangup (SIGHUP)
May 13 05:03:40 linux pppd[9219]: Hangup (SIGHUP)
In my /var/log/messages
Does this look like it is being disconected by my linux box or is this 
what you would get when it disconects from either end
