Install the 586 packages fr your 586 kernel and possibly a glibc 586
package if it is also there.
They are usually the packages that are built for other archetectures.
Install the 386 packages for the rest.

The enterprise kernel package is simply a different kernel configuration.
One with options that someone (at RedHat) thinks are approiate for a
production Linux box in a corporate enviornment.
Usually you would install the kernel-source package and customise the
config for yourself anyway.

Again install the corresponding 686 packages instead of the 386 ones.
