[plug] Telstra Cable vs Telstra ADSL??? Help!

Hello all,

I'm about to sign up for Telstra Cable and will be wanting to use it with 
linux some of the time and windows at other times...I've read that telstra 
adsl users can connect with linux, but what about cable users?  Any 
bugs/quirks with cable, like those with adsl where the modem firmware can be 
remotely rewritten?
