[plug] Samba error

I have an odd error when running smbmount (Mandrake 7.2 distribution) -
it echoes the following lines:

load_client_codepage: filename /etc/codepages/codepage.850 does not
exist.
load_unicode_map: filename /etc/codepages/unicode_map.850 does not
exist.

It is correct - the files don't exist.  But I haven't specified codepage
850 (western Europe) anywhere that I'm aware of or can find.  Any clues?
