[plug] corel wp8 and photo paint on mandrake8

hi all.
just wondering if any one has tried wp8 and photo paint9 on mandrake 8.
i have a few problems. wp8 refuses to install with about 3 pages of errors, 
while photo paint complains about the font server not being installed. trying 
to install the rpms i get a error that they conflict with the existing 
install . forcing the install causes photo paint to lock up the x server when 
run. ( cntrl+alt+backspace doesnt work)
any ideas would be great.
