Assuming you have ssh installed on both machines, a
simple way might be to use scp. (secure copy)

Try scp local_dir/filename myname at host1:remote_dir
where myname at host1 is a valid login and host1 is the
name or address of target..

e.g. "scp /home/joel/thisfile.txt
somename at 192.168.0.11:/home/somename/"
