[plug] MRTG

Hi,
I have installed the MRTG program and have put in some scripts to get the data from ipchains.
The output of the script is as follows:

 10:11pm  up 89 days, 20:18,  2 users,  load average: 0.00, 0.01, 0.00
Gateway Internet Traffic

but I run "mrtg /etc/mrtg.cfg" and then look at the html through a web browser it comes up with the graphs but no data, its all zeros!!!
I have completely cleaned out my cache too!
Am I doing anything wrong??
