[plug] Cant access cdrom: Wrong medium type

It dosnt matter if i specfy iso9660 it still says

mount: block device /dev/hdb is write-protected, mounting read-only
mount: Wrong medium type
and puts the same messages in /var/log/messages
i can tyoe eject and it ejects it? which i thought was strange ??

Mark,
So tell it what the medium type should be, ie iso9660. See mount(8).
(You may then find your new kernel lacks the iso9660 module)

Its best to have an entry for you cdrom in /etc/fstab - check the man
page.
