[plug] Install an older kernel during install

Hi, 
does anyone know how I can install Mandrake 8.0 using the older 2.2.19
kernel on the cdrom?  Looks like my laptop has developed a hatred for
2.4.3 and wont boot, so want to try the older kernel which is supposed
to work.  Must be in the docs or Mandrake website somewhere, but I cant
dind it ...  No answer from the Mandrake list, must all be watching the
world trade centre ...
