My 2 cents:

If you were using networking I would say to use Samba... but the only 
other way I could think of is to set your mail directories (not folders) 
on the FAT partition then both OS's can see them.
Also, you could choose to ignore me as most would think that I do not 
know what I am talking about (in some cases this is true).
