	Can anyone explain exactly what the 'preemptible patches' do?

	Does it mean that the kernel cannot block a process from getting its
fair share of CPU?

	Hmm you've convinced me to try it out then ;) I dled and installed
2.4.10
	on my main system yesterday but didn't apply the preemptible
patches.
