Greg Patterson deserves some kind of award. He sold Alex a 2nd-hand DEC 
machine with *MANUAL* PCI resource allocation in the BIOS. He patiently sat 
through the installation of several different kinds of network card (which 
the BIOS kindly set all the IRQs of to zero (0), thank you very much) and 
eventually figured out in his own time (after trying to install NT on the 
box) that the problem was in the BIOS. Not many dealers would have the wit or 
patience to get that far.

He runs the Computer Clearance Center in Osborne Park (27 Collingwood) and 
you can ply him with questions on 9244-9048. Amongst other things, he has 
much RAM and several hard drives for old laptops in his shop at the moment, 
an Alpha server, and a number of 433 MHz desktop machines.

I have no vested interest, just impressed by the service.
