My recommendation is grab any 2.2.x set of debian CDs and a copy of a
debianite's apt-sources file (printout or preferrably file). Oh and a list
of packages you would like running - most peoples' "crossgrade to debian"
problems hinge on not knowing what the email, ftp, Xserver, etc *packages*
are called.

Debian is designed to run only what you need - If its for e-mail serving
then install postfix.

You can find people who use scripts, but those people create quite a few
servers, and the script specifically suits their purposes.

After you have the system running sweet with the CD packages, change you
apt-sources to point to uwa / aarnet and set your "apt-get update;apt-get
upgrade" to run overnight.
