I'm interested to know as well, because WestNet will be offering ADSL very
shortly as well and are going to provide a D-Link USB modem for $199, and I
certainly want to keep my Linux box as my firewall gateway machine.
The only cheapish option for an ethernet ADSL modem I've seen is a D-Link
ADSL ethernet modem (the DSL300) for slightly under $300 from eStore (other
places I've seen have it for around $399).
But if anyone can get the USB ADSL modem working under Linux, I might look
at saving some money and getting that instead.
/ Ben

Subject: [plug] iinet DSL - USB DSL modem under linux?
Hi all
Anybody got any experience running a USB ADSL modem under linux - such as
those iiNet provide? I love ethernet DSL modems but not for THAT much
extra.
Debian experience particularly valuable.
I know the kernel has pretty good USB support, but that doesn't always
reflect the reality of specific drivers, compatability issues,
reliability, performance, etc...
