If you mean shared processor power and RAM - I'd reccomend the "don't 
even bother thinking about it" approach unless you have specialized apps 
to run that would work well in a clustered environment. If what you're 
looking to do is boost PC performance - it doesn't work like that AFAIK.

Now, if you have a specific task in mind, something comptationally 
intensive that doesn't really touch the low-level hardware ops at all, 
you might have a chance. This sort of task is rather less-than-common 
though.
