i haven't used the specialised drivers yet, only the VESA standard on my
dad's laptop with an ali 64 cyberblade xp (i think it was called, i know
it's a cyberblade xp though), under suse 7.3, i could only reach 800*600 on
the laptop, but i'm running redhat 7.3 on the machine with no real issues,
in 1024*768. again, that's using vesa standard drivers and it won't like it
in 24 bit colour, keep it in 16 (same with windoze, even using specialised
drivers).
