Australian IT normally has a fair amount of MS FUD, this article is
quite a departure from that (although they did throw in some comments
from a "Microsoft product marketing manager Danny Beck" who is sure to
have a balanced and reasonable approach... like him being quoted as
saying "There was no trend towards Linux")

MICROSOFT'S hold on corporate Australia appears to be weakening, with a
rise in the number of big companies opting to use Linux software for
critical applications.

Air New Zealand, Centrelink and the Department of Veteran Affairs are
among a number of high-profile customers that have recently adopted the
Unix derivative in areas where Microsoft products would traditionally
have been used.

The Australian IT reported on deep scepticism among corporate decision
makers about Microsoft's Licensing 6.0, which took effect at the
beginning of the month.
