Hi John,
yes.... have a look at http://freshrpms.net/docs/alsa/ . You should be 
able to find  suitable rpms so long as you are using a standard Rehat 
kernel. see http://ftp.freshrpms.net/pub/freshrpms/redhat-7.3/
