[plug] [OT]Laser Printer Memory

I'm looking to get a Brother laser printer to serve Win & linux boxes with 
a windows controller.

The two models I'm looking at getting are HL-1440 with 2 MB or the HL-1450 
with 8 MB.  I have been told they use SD SIMM memory.  Is this the same as 
SD RAM.  If not, where can I get SD SIMM and what price should I expect?
