[plug] equivalent to "sys c:"

I have Libranet, which is a Debian derivative, on the notebook. Following the 
installation, it boots from the boot floppy without drama, but won't boot 
from the HDD. The HDD isnt sus, and had Mandrake operating very happily until 
I installed Libranet..

Is there a linux or debian equivalent to the old dos "sys c:" command, 
setting up the HDD boot sequence from the floppy..?

I could bring it tonight, but thats probably not what the meeting is about.
