I think that you are right. The symmetry should be YXXY YXXY YXXY not 
ABCD EFFE CDBA. That's what makes it so unusual, then there are only
four possibilities.

 21:12 21/12 2112 , 11:11 11/11 1111 or 01:10 01/10 0110 and the just
past 20:02 20/02 2002
