xscavenger (found it in a debian package) is a pretty good imitation.
If anyone has managed level 25 without getting the solution from the web 
or abusing the weird atomic critter, let me know - I think that's what I
need to spur me onto figuring it out. If anyone wants hints for levels
1-24, I'm your man. Do try them out first, though, they're all doable.
