[plug] Raid Card

Hi All
I was interested in getting a good Hardware ide raid card
mainly for striping 2 20gb hard drives, as I do a bit of video editing
can anyone recommend a good card , where they got it and the price.
Also would I suffer from performence issues if I get a software raid card 
are these compatible with linux ? I have a Duron 950 with 256mb ram
