I dual boot win98se (games) and linux (everything else), and find that 
_neither_ works properly with an irq sharing sb live. I've heard its a 
fairly common problem hence my comment that the sblive hw was bugged 
but perhaps it also requires a dodgy mobo bios? I do have an ASUS A7V 
and most ASUS athlon boards seem to be at least a bit bugged (esp ACPI - 
what ACPI? I can't get win98se to suspend/resume _ever_ and while its 
usually bad about it its not that bad on most hardware).
