I can only speak of postnuke.  It contains no known security holes at 
release.  Holes have an annoying habit of being found, however, but the 
Postnuke team have a good record on releasing quick and reliable security 
patches.

I would say not.  You can always test the module but the next release of PN 
(due early Aug) will contain no PHPNuke code so the chances are slim.

Both have relatively poor documentation.  If you're a complete newbie then 
that could be a problem but I've found that everything is fairly 
self-explanatory.

If you're running a small site that doesn't need a lot of dynamic info then a 
CMS that consumes less resources might be better.  Otherwise, I'd say go with 
PN.
