Two suggestions:

 (1) use dump and restore'

 (2) add the 20G in, rather than replacing the 10G, by mounting it
     somewhere useful like /home

 (2a) shrink / and make a few more partitions like /tmp and /var
      with restricted mounts for better security and DoS protection.
