[plug] Xwindows startup

Hi all,
	Lastnight I got Debian Potato installed! Well there were a few problems 
that arouse but they were all fixed, even booting w2k was easy even after 
being told it wouldnt work. Well the prob now is that Xwindows autostarts 
when I boot. all inits from 2-5 do this and i can't kill 'xdm' I would like 
to have it so that I have to type startx when i want Xwindows. I thought 
init 1 was only for 1 user or is that for multiply users. I still needed 6 
terminals.
Also when I switch terminals I can't find Xwindows and I loss my display if 
I go past a valid terminal (6)
